“In 1995 at the age of 45, I was hit by a car while riding my bicycle. My doctors and physical therapists had given up all hope on my chances of being able to walk unassisted again. Then I met Dr. Burdenko and followed his program. With his help, I am able to walk, swim, run, and bike again. If you have ever suffered a serious injury, this book may teach you to never give up hope. I lay paralyzed and wondered if I would ever walk again. The program laid out in this book helped me to get my life back. Use it to regain yours.”

I like new book of my colleague Dr. I. Burdenko "Overcoming injuries" very much! I
like it as a medical doctor—neurologist, as a specialist in aquatic therapy, as a sportsman-swimmer in past and as a medical writer!
This book is fantastic, optimistic and great! It's written by professional
with lifetime period of practical work, by man with kind soul who gives
health to the people! I like this words from this book from Scott
Biehler's story: "He [Igor Burdenko] BELIEVES AND HAS PROVEN that the body
has the power to heal itself. This can be achieved by conditioning the
mind with the proper attitude and taking care of your body with nutrition
and the appropriate exercise". I know this from my practice too!
I like Dr. Burdenko's optimistic philosophy of 5 "F": "Future. Fitness. Fun.
Family+Friends. Fantastic!" It's simple and great formula of healthy life!
Specialists, medical doctors and I now know from this book a famous
formula—the PYRAMID OF BURDENKO METHOD: "balance at bottom, then
coordination, flexibility, endurance, speed and strength on the top".
I will definitely use in my practice Dr. Burdenko's impressive formulas for patients: "Life
is movement. Never stop moving. Never give up! Work hard with a smile!". "You should work together with therapist. This is team approach". "You are
what you want to be!"
With my great pleasure I've included this book in Bibliography and
Internet-resources of my new electronic book "Medical rehabilitation and
physiotherapy".
